August 22. Today, the card "Emperor" fell out for you

Look at the Emperor in the card. Would you say he is in his place? No doubt about it, right? And you know why? He is following his own rules. Here is a question the card might ask you: Whose rules do **you** follow? Don’t bother to answer. The Emperor sees the borrowed blueprints you are following. That stable job your parents admire, this relationship that abides by societal norms - these things are not yours. It’s time you disobeyed external expectations.

In love, the Emperor needs you to be honest. Are you repeating ancestral romantic patterns just because this is expected of you or you don’t know any different? Here is the main question, though - are you the one architecting your love, or are you driven by fears? The lingering discomfort you feel coming off these questions is your soul rebelling against inauthenticity. 

When it comes to career, the Emperor laughs at the word “should.” Should what? Get a kick out of this prestigious job that drains you? Take a safe but boring path instead of the risky passion? Those are not your victories. You need personal vision, just like the Emperor. Your resentment toward your status quo isn’t laziness. It’s the first rays of courage to draft your own battle plans.  

The Emperor as a feeling makes you think of a slow-burn realization that you are a tenant in your own life. You begin to feel that quiet rage each time you say “I have to” instead of “I choose to.” Hear that? It’s sovereignty knocking. Do you have what it takes to answer it?
