August 7. Today, the card "Empress" fell out for you

The emergence of the Empress card might be perplexing, but bear with us. You see, even though this card is all about abundance and nurturing, it is willing to dispense a warning once in a while. This time, the card warns you of a person who appears to be caring and supportive but in truth is after your energy and other resources. Trust them - and you will be sucked dry.  

The Empress card in love warns of a partner (current or potential) who might be smothering you rather than nurturing. They love-bomb you with gifts, compliments, and grand promises. You swoon and don’t see the invisible stings. They say they want the best for you. What they really mean is that they want to control your choices. It’s not love. It’s a trap. 

In career, the Empress points to a colleague or a mentor who promises endless opportunities, grossly neglecting to tell you that the price is your autonomy. They want you to be loyal to them; this is why they are ready to dangle promotions and praise in front of you. The best thing you can do in order to protect your independence is to chant to yourself that not all that glitters is gold. 

As a yes or no, the Empress is a resounding “No!” This is NOT the kind of abundance you need. You need to walk away from such gifts before they turn into chains and cages.
